Chak # 45/12.L Firdous, Apna Pind

Its the slight info
about the village 45/12-L Firdous, situated 10 km south from its tehseel Chichawatni, District Sahiwal. Its the 45th village on the left side of twelfth distributory from lower bari doab canal (LBDC). And Firdous added with name after the recommendation of villagers means the small part of Jannat. Village, came into existence in 1914 after the resettlement plan of British India. Most of the people were migrated from village Bachhwan district Hoshiyarpur (Indian Punjab) and most of them were Muslims and the Non-Muslim migrated back to Hoshiyaarpur at the time of partition - 1947, showing today 97% Muslim population. At the time of existence only 71 men and 36 women were there in the village who populated it today nearly to 13,000 people. But an Increasing population is also due to the people's shift from other villages after attracting by Firdous Development.
